Since the early 1990s, he has recorded and performed with international stars and artists including Mark Ronson, George Benson, Jay Z, Janet Jackson, Chaka Khan, Roy Ayers, Sade, Donna Summer, Maxwell, Masters At Work, Common, Kid Creole & the Coconuts, Erykah Badu, Martha Reeves, Nikka Costa, Meshell Ndegeocello, Maceo Parker and The Roots.
He is presently working on his solo debut and a documentary titled, “The Funk King of Greenwich Village.”

Featured in TIR Episode 323 (Part 2 of 2): Cheryl James, a former road manager and background singer – beginning in the 1970s – within the Parliament-Funkadelic organization. She was responsible for looking after Parlet and the Brides of Funkenstein during their U.S. and overseas tours and press appearances. James also worked Parliament-Funkadelic's 1979-1980 tour and added vocals to several P-Funk recordings.
She also shares her early experience working for the Temptations' Dennis Edwards and later in life working for actress Janet Leigh.

TMF includes one of Maze’s founders along with others who’ve been part of the group for 20 years or more, and who have worked with stars such as Whitney Houston, Earth, Wind & Fire, Mavis Staples, Janet Jackson and Al Jarreau.
Together, they are honoring one of soul & funk music’s most successful and beloved legacies that includes Maze classics like “Southern Girl,” “Happy Feeling,” “Feel That You’re Feelin,” “Back in Stride,” “Running Away,” “Golden Time of Day,” “Workin’ Together” and “Can’t Get Over You.” All eight of Maze’s 1977-1993 albums hit the R&B Top 10, with 15 singles going Top 20.
