They include Natalie Cole, Rene & Angela, the Isley Brothers, Betty Wright, Gladys Knight, Nancy Wilson, Nina Simone, Patti Labelle, Dr. John, Tony Bennett and Frank Sinatra.
He was with Rufus through 1977, during which time the group had four straight Top 5 R&B albums and produced funk and soul classics like “Tell Me Something Good,” “You Got the Love,” “Once You Get Started,” “Pack’d My Bags,” “Sweet Thing,” “Dance Wit Me,” “At Midnight,” “Hollywood” and “Everlasting Love.” Prior to that, Fischer played with icons like Curtis Mayfield, Jerry Butler, Gene Chandler and Eddie Harris. Later on, he became a record co. executive and got involved in music academia.

As two-thirds of the legendary Holland-Dozier-Holland triad, the brothers’ thousands of credits are highlighted by their incredible string of classic 1960s Motown Records hits by acts such as Martha and the Vandellas, the Miracles, the Supremes, Marvin Gaye and the Four Tops.
Into the 1970s and beyond, their success continued with Chairman of the Board, Freda Payne, Honey Cone and many others. These 1990 Rock & Roll Hall of Fame inductees’ songs continue to thrill millions and are routinely remade. They remain active today with myriad projects, including their 2019 book, Come and Get These Memories: The Story of Holland-Dozier-Holland, and they are currently working on a play about the Four Tops, titled “I’ll Be There.”

Along the way, Kevin Goins also teamed with leading Parliament-Funkadelic players Bernie Worrell and Tyrone Lampkin on the Space Cadets’ 1981 album. In more recent times, among other musical pursuits, he has served as the lead vocalist for the hardcore funk band known as P-Theory.

He has been acknowledged as a key architect of EWF's classic sound.

His George Massenburg Labs is a pioneering audio electronics company that has released many innovative recording technologies based on his original designs. Currently, he is an associate professor of sound recording at the Schulich School of Music at Montreal’s McGill University, and a visiting lecturer at the Berklee College of Music in Boston and Valencia, Spain, and at Tennessee’s University of Memphis.
