Featured in TIR Episode 310: Rapper, dancer, choreographer, musician and composer Tony Mosely. Better known as Tony M, from 1989-1993 he served as a member of Prince’s New Power Generation band. That included his hugely successful Diamonds and Pearls album – which is being released as a super-deluxe 7-CD package – and Love Symbol LP, as well as the NPG’s debut project and Carmen Electra’s self-titled album.
He was also prominently featured in Prince’s Nude, Diamonds & Pearls and Act I concert tours. In more recent years, he has appeared with the reunited NPG that honors Prince’s legacy.

In addition, the band’s song, “Zoom” – not to be confused with the Commodores’ track of the same name – went all the way up to No. 2 on the U.K. chart as well as No. 10 in Australia. They guys are reunited and embarking on a tour.

In the early 1980s, she married famed composer and producer Skip Scarborough, who had presided over what would be the group’s final album. Moving into the 1990s and beyond, she turned to gospel on her subsequent releases. Late last year, she put out a wonderful version of Frankie Beverly and Maze’s classic, “While I’m Alone.”
She is also involved with the Scarborough Foundation, which provides scholarships and grants to public school students gifted in the performing arts.

His playing is featured on seminal Wonder albums like Songs in the Key of Life, Hotter Than July and A Time to Love. He is heard on classic songs like “I Wish,” “Did I Hear You Say You Love Me,” “I Ain’t Gonna Stand for It,” “Front Line,” “Do I Do,” “These Three Words,” “My Love Is on Fire” and most recently, “Can’t Put It in the Hands of Fate.”
Among many other notable credits, he has worked extensively with the Jacksons, Lenny Williams, Teena Marie, the Pointer Sisters, Lionel Richie, Billy Preston, Dionne Warwick, Diana Ross, the Temptations, Paul McCartney, Ray Parker and Deniese Williams. He also recalls an emotional experience with Prince.
Besides mastering the bass, he once considered becoming an accountant and much later earned a doctorate in Theology.
