Among the albums he appears on are Parliament’s Motor Booty Affair, GloryHallaStoopid and Trombipulation; Parlet’s Invasion of the Booty Snatchers and Play Me or Trade Me; the P-Funk All-Stars Urban Dancefloor Guerillas; George Clinton’s Some of My Best Jokes Are Friends and The Awesome Power of a Fully Operational Mothership; and the Red Hot Chili Peppers’ Freaky Styley.
Other artists he has lent his horn stylings to include the Gap Band, Bootsy, Mtume, Cameo and Chuck Brown & the Soul Searchers. Bennie Cowan -- whose son Benzel Cowan has spent more than 10 years as P-Funk’s primary drummer and has also been a TRUTH IN RHYTHM guest -- released his own album, called It’s a Horn Thing G, a few years back.

Featured in TIR Episode 294: Singer and entertainer Jimmy “Bo” Horne, best known for the 1978 classic hit, “Dance Across the Floor.” With his first two albums produced, written by and featuring Harry Wayne Casey and Richard Finch of KC & the Sunshine Band, he delivered other catchy and funky tracks like “Gimme Some,” “Get Happy,” “Spank,” “You Get Me Hot” and “Is It In” that helped set the pace of the era’s Miami Dance Sound.
Horne continued to release new music into the 1990s, and still performs today. His latest song is called, "Starting Tonight."

Featured in TIR Episode 292 (Part 2 of 2): Keyboardist, composer and producer Danny Thomas, best known as an original and longtime member of Con Funk Shun – one of the most successful, distinctive and flat-out fantastic funk-R&B bands of all time. From 1977’s No. 1 R&B smash “Ffun” to 1986’s No. 8 hit “Burnin’ Love,” the seven-member Northern California group notched 10 Top 25 albums and 17 top 40 singles.
Equally adept at funk, catchy soul and love ballads, other killer tracks included “Chase Me,” “Too Tight,” “Got to Be Enough,” “Shake and Dance With Me,” “(Let Me) Put Love on Your Mind,” “Make It Last,” “Baby, I’m Hooked” and “Love’s Train,” which was recently remade into a hit for Bruno Mars’ act, Silk Sonic. In 2021, Thomas released an autobiography on his career with the band, titled “My Life And Fun Times With Con Funk Shun.”
